Celebrate Public Power Week - October 4-10, 2015

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

For 100+ years, public power has worked in more than 2,000 communities from coast to coast. It's a great week to remind your ratepayers why:

     Reliable Power
     Low Rates
     Local Control
     Vested in the Community
     Caring about the ratepayers needs

TMEPA is arranging for a proclamation signed by Governor Haslam and should have before the end of the month. May we suggest a Proclamation signed by your own city council? See below for a sample Proclamation. Just fill in your information as noted.

SAMPLE PROCLAMATION

A proclamation requires the attention of your utility policy board or city council, and provides an opportunity for those bodies to think about and describe the electric utility’s role in the broadest possible way. After the proclamation is passed, you can distribute it to the news media, post it on your website and Intranet, email it to employees, use it as a newspaper ad, write about it in your customer newsletter and make copies or a poster of it for your customer service center.
