TAHFM is proud to recognize board member and Assistant Director of Support Services, Texas Children’s Hospital, Allan Watkins, MIM, BScBA, CHFM, RPA, SMA, SMT, who has earned the Senior (SASHE) designation from the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE). This honor is awarded to members in good standing for at least five years who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service and commitment to advancing the profession. Allan will be formally recognized at the 2026 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference.
Earlier this month we celebrated TAHFM board members Taylor Vaughn, MBA, CHFM, CHC, SASHE, Jacob McCall, MBA, CFHM, SASHE, and Allan Watkins, MIM, BScBA, CHFM, SASHE, RPA, SMA, SMT for their graduation from the ASHE Leadership Institute! After four years of focused learning, self-reflection, team leadership, and navigating change, they’ve emerged with a clear leadership point of view. The Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE) honored three hospitals with its 2025 EVS Department of the Year Awards, recognizing exceptional achievement in cleaning quality, infection prevention, innovation and staff development. VA Palo Alto, Onvida Health Yuma Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County earned top honors in their respective bed-size categories for measurable improvements in safety, efficiency, sustainability and patient satisfaction.
