How has TAHFM/ASHE contributed to your career?
TAHFM has given me many opportunities not only to network with likeminded professionals, but also to be able to attend local, or within the state, seminars for the betterment of our profession.

What is your background in the healthcare facilities field?
My career started with construction of mega capacities power generating plants, then transitioned to a field engineer in telecommunication and power stations, then into education. My journey to healthcare facilities started off when I got admitted to one of Memorial Hermann's hospitals. I realized that facility personnel greatly contribute to the overall mission of the hospital. I joined Memorial Hermann Hospital System in 2013 as a mechanic, then team lead, and moved on to the management role.

Tell us a Personal Tidbit.
I love to build things and help my wife with gardening, but I also enjoy being alone in peace and quiet on a patio too. I do love Zumba on Saturdays and join social dances and fundraising events.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy solving problems and helping people.

What are your plans for future growth?
I would like to take on more responsibilities in facility management and at the same time would like to learn more experience in project management and code compliance. I believe these future growth plans can be of more value not only to me, but to my organization as well.
