Dubbed "the stamp of approval" by many employers, the ASHE Health Care Construction (HCC) Certificate proves to health care organizations that you have been properly trained to work in a health care construction environment—making you the desirable candidate for the job. 1.45 AHA CEUs (equivalent to 14.5 contact hours). Credit hours can be used toward the renewal of the Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) credential and the Certified Health Care Constructor (CHC) credential.
 
In this first of a series of basic skills and educational development for the healthcare facility professional, the curriculum will provide an overview of codes, standards, and best practices that are designed to better orient the future healthcare leader to the regulatory knowledge and basic physics associated with managing a complex healthcare facility. ASHE has approved this course for 6.5 hours and .65 CEUs.

The Joint Commission requires hospitals and critical access hospitals to conduct environment of care (EC) tours every six months in patient care areas, and every year in non-patient care areas. These tours help organizations identify improvement opportunities and help EC professionals spot safety hazards. However, it is not the only time staff should be on the lookout for safety hazards.
