TAHFM e-Newsletter
Events and Education
Friday, April 16, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm

This past year, our members have faced a lot of issues, from the pandemic to the winter storm and everything in between. On Friday, April 16, 2021, TAHFM will host an open forum discussion to allow facility managers to discuss various challenges and successes they had in their facilities related to the winter storms. Throughout the forum, we aim to provide timely answers that support your circumstances and share best practices and lessons learned. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions aloud and engage with our panel!

The TAHFM Virtual Educational Series is a new platform of on-line learning opportunities for professionals in the healthcare field interested in the latest industry trends involving Facilities Management, Energy Management, Building Maintenance, and much more! The goal of all sessions available through this platform is to provide valuable health care facilities management information through professional development, recognition, and member engagement.

Members and non-members can enjoy session recordings from our Virtual Education Series while earning CEC credits after completion of each course available. Courses can be accessed 24/7 from any Apple or PC device and include PowerPoint slides synced with high quality speaker audio.

Dear TAHFM Members,

TAHFM recognizes the difficult budget constraints facing many of your facilities during this time and has therefore made funding available through our scholarship program. TAHFM will provide a limited number of scholarships to attend the TAHFM 2021 Annual Conference. A travel stipend will also be offered to a select number of applicants in addition to the registration fee scholarship. We hope this will provide those facility members with limited resources an opportunity to attend this year's Conference.

Education, as we all know, is critical to the ongoing success of service delivery. In particular within the landscape of healthcare facilities management, where rules and regulations change often and facilities management professionals must adapt to keep their organizations safe and secure. Facilities management professionals are constantly on the go, and finding time for the requisite training can often be a challenge.  With that in mind, TAHFM has developed a monthly education series called Education through Association. This is included within the cost of your membership and is intended to give you short, relevant points of information to help you and your colleagues obtain the information necessary to keep you at the top of your game.

Look out for an email from TAHFM each month on educational content/resources as well as take a peak back at past monthly content via our website:

Member Spotlight

The Membership Committee's mission is to recognize and get to know our current members better. The depth of knowledge within this group is something that we should all be proud of. As a committee, we feel that we can all learn something from each other, but that this can only be done if we share a little bit about ourselves. In an effort to get to know each other better, we have created the "Member Spotlight" where a TAHFM member will be spotlighted through our monthly TAHFM Pulse Newsletter. This is our chance to highlight you and your success to others in this industry. We are proud of our members and would be honored if you would participate.

If you are interested in participating in the TAHFM Member Spotlight, please fill out this interest form.
