How has TAHFM/ASHE contributed to your career?
The information I receive from the TAHFM newsletters, website and seminars really help me understand my job better.

Background into the field of healthcare facilities
I have worked in the engineering department of various hospitals for 17 years. These included Baylor Grapevine, John Peter Smith in Fort Worth, as well as 10 years here at Scottish Rite.

Personal tidbit
I believe I was put on this earth to coach. I have been coaching & umpiring softball for 20+ years. My two children play softball, baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Scottish Rite Hospital is a Masonic charity, and I have been a Master Mason for 7 years. I love to work with the new candidates and help coach them through the degrees of Masonry.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy solving different problems each day. No two days are the same, and I am always challenged. I really enjoy working with and training the newer technicians. I love to see them grow and have some part in developing the next generation of health facility technicians. I love to be part of helping give children back their childhood, and feeling like what I do every day makes a meaningful difference in someone's life.

What are your plans for future growth?
I am study for my Master Electrician license, and am working towards becoming an Engineering Supervisor.
