How has TAHFM/ASHE contributed to your career?
TAHFM membership has contributed to my healthcare career success by providing opportunities to network, attend workshops and learn best practices from experts in our industry.

Background into the field of healthcare facilities
My healthcare facilities management career began as the support person for the construction and safety department. Almost immediately, I was asked to manage small hospital wide projects. After several successful projects, I was promoted to Facilities Management Project Manager. In this role, I was responsible for construction projects of all sizes on our campus and life safety compliance. I have had the unique experience of working in leadership roles at three different Houston Methodist campuses. This has provided me the opportunity to learn and grow working with talented facilities team members maintaining equipment in all different stages of maintenance and repair life.

Personal Tidbit
I enjoy volunteering and spending time with family. Currently, I am president of the aquatic's booster club at my daughter's high school and vice president of the local swim team board of directors.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The thing that I love most about my job is the different hats I get to wear. The variety of responsibilities provide challenges almost daily that allow me to use critical thinking skills to remove barriers and meet organizational goals.

What are your plans for future growth?
Currently I am studying to sit for the Certified Healthcare Safety Professional exam.
