How has TAHFM/ASHE contributed to your career?
TAHFM/ASHE has connected me to wonderful facilities engineers, plant operations directors, and other people who go above and beyond to keep their facilities functioning at high capacity.

Background into the field of healthcare facilities
Both TAHFM and ASHE have been tremendous in helping me further my understanding of healthcare leadership. There are so many good people working in these groups that want to benefit the field of healthcare facility leaders, and I am grateful. I always enjoy going to the annual conference and meeting other facility leaders.

Background into the field of healthcare facilities
I worked in the construction and service industry until 2011, when I first joined a hospital facilities team. I started out at Cook Children's in 2011. I moved to USMD in 2016 and then started working for Texas Health in 2020.

Personal Tidbit
I enjoy the great outdoors with my wonderful wife and children. We enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, boating and anything to do with God's creation.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the multifaceted roles in the EOC and LS areas of working in healthcare. I enjoy teaching and coaching others to share any knowledge I have in these fields. Every day is a new day, and it is always exciting.

What are your plans for future growth?
To continue to lean every day from my leaders, peers and direct reports.
