Global Launch at Arizona State University invites applications for Assistant Instructional Professional for Fall 2026, with possible contract for additional sessions, depending on program needs and performance. Assistant Instructional Professionals are full-time instructors who teach on a contractual basis. At the current time, we anticipate hiring new Assistant Instructional Professionals to teach in our various programs, which include non-credit intensive English, academic preparation, and custom courses, taught on campus and online.

TESOL International Association provided comments to the U.S. Department of Education's proposed changes to the federal student loan program, which impacts loan limits for those seeking educational degrees. The Department’s proposed changes risk exacerbating national shortages of teachers prepared to serve multilingual learners of English by limiting access to educator-preparation programs, especially for part-time candidates.

Twelve years ago, conditions and morale at Irving Academy in the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) were abysmal, according to teachers and district leaders. Since then, the district has cleaned up the buildings and made significant strides in improving the school, and, through a program called the Dual Language Community Lab Schools Partnership, the district now contracts with UT San Antonio to operate the campus.
