The English as a Second Language Department at Cuesta College welcomes applications for a full-time, tenure track position beginning fall semester 2026. The teaching assignment will mainly consist of face-to-face classes on the North County Campus in Paso Robles and may include some distance education components and assignments on other campus locations as needed. The faculty position includes divisional responsibilities such as program review, student learning outcome assessment, curriculum development, faculty evaluations, and service on college-wide committees.

TESOL International Association has announced its 2026 award recipients, celebrating exemplary contributions to the field of English language teaching. Honorees will be recognized at the TESOL 2026 International Convention & Expo, held 24-27 March in Salt Lake City, Utah. TESOL President Justin Shewell praised this year’s recipients for the dedication and passion they bring to the profession.
TESOL International Association is pleased to announce Rashad Ahmed as the 2026 TESOL Teacher of the Year. Ahmed, an associate professor of TESOL and linguistics at Jacksonville State University and a Fulbright alumnus, will be recognized at the TESOL 2026 International Convention & Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah, 24-27 March. As the 2026 honoree, he receives a one-year TESOL membership, convention travel support, TESOL publications, a $1,000 cash award, and an invited-speaker session.
