With the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, sustainability will evolve from a word you've heard to a very real aspect of doing business successfully in the construction industry. TXAPA is hosting a symposium on sustainability, including a report on the upcoming Sunset Review of the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality (TECQ), an update on new emissions testing requirements and processes, an analysis of how the IIJA may affect TxDOT projects and funding, and an in-depth look at environmental product declarations (EPDs)—what are they and will you need to provide them to your customers? Join TxDOT Director of Engineering and Safety Operations Lance Simmons, former TCEQ Director Richard Hyde, environmental consultant Matt Bellos of Westward Environmental Inc., and from the National Asphalt Pavement Association, Joseph Shacat, a foremost authority on EPDs for asphalt mixtures.
