The average person will spend 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime – that's about 1/3 of your life. We often worry about safety hazards in the outside world, but it's important to consider your workplace and make sure you know how to protect yourself and others while there.

The TxDOT Highway Letting is emailed to all members and posted to the TXAPA website on the 25th day of the month. If you did not recieve this month's letting information, click the link below.

Over the past few years, the topic of safety on construction projects has gone from an afterthought to now the #1 priority. In addition to the required monthly safety meetings that we still attend, the majority of the other project meetings now begin with some sort of Safety Share. Over time, it has become challenging to find a safety topic to discuss that is both interesting and engaging.

TXAPA will continue to move the needle for quality in the coming decade by promoting a new concept in asphalt paving communication, a gathering of key personnel just prior to placement and compaction called the “All-Hands.” Chuck Fuller has discussed the All-Hands on TXAPA Live, and the All-Hands section of our website is packed with helpful resources and information.
