The following test procedures, attached for your review, have been recommended for state-wide use by the Texas Department of Transportation and await industry comments. Please email Chuck Fuller or Corey Schwarz with your comments or call TXAPA at (512) 312-2099 with questions. Please provide your comments on or before the deadline of January 14, 2020.
 TXAPA is excited to announce that this year, we will host our first ever Winter Classic Golf Tournament at La Cantera Resort and Spa in San Antonio. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the TXAPA Scholarship Program. Directly after the tournament we’ll head straight into the Membership Meeting. Our goal is to expand the Membership Meeting, offering more education and content, and making it a must-attend event for our members.

The TXAPA Membership Meeting is the Texas Asphalt Pavement Association's first official gathering of the year. You may also call the La Cantera reservations department at (855) 499-2960 to reserve a room or rooms. In this case, reference the name of the event or the group code, TXAP012720, to the reservation associate and the desired dates you wish to book.
The final date to reserve rooms under the block is Monday, January 6, 2020. After that date, any additional reservations will be made on a case-by-case basis, based on rate and availability of the resort.

Technically Speaking
The TxDOT Highway Letting is emailed to all members and posted to the TXAPA website on the 25th day of the month. If you did not recieve this month's letting information, click the link below.  Join Larry Welch of TXAPA and Gary Fitts of Kraton Polymers for an informative webinar on Liquid Asphalt. Join TXAPA’s Director of Engineering and Technology Jim Warren for an in-depth look at the importance of balancing asphalt production rates (plant, trucking, paving, and compaction) relative to quality improvement. Jim will review several case studies and integrate the concept of “time available for compaction” and how that condition can actually be used to set maximum production rates. He will also incorporate a discussion of Multi-Cool software, other apps, and programs. Thursday, January 16, 2012 10-11 am CST  Larry Welch of TXAPA and Gary Fitts of Kraton Polymers present the second in a two-part series on Liquid Asphalt. Participants will:
