In our October webinar, we delve deeper into Chapter Nine of the Guide, specifically, Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation Methods, as an addendum to last month's webinar on Asphalt Pavement Maintenance and Rehabilitation.

The response to the Second Annual Asphalt Road-eo was even better than predicted! We are preparing to welcome ten teams of four undergraduate students each along with several observers and faculty from the University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Texas at El Paso, Texas Tech University, Texas State University, and Oklahoma University! We are exited and honored to welcome all of these fine universities to the competition in addition to staff from the Oklahoma Asphalt Pavement Association.

The Asphalt Road-eo is an engineering competition in which students work in teams to design a two-by-two-foot asphalt slab. The slab undergoes a series of testing for cracking, rutting, and skid resistance. The teams must also be able to discuss their methodology and though process with a panel of judges from TxDOT and TXAPA. The Road-eo will happen November 30 and December 1 in Buda, Texas.
