OSHA: Electronic Submission of Injury and Illness Records to OSHA...Behavioral economics tells us that making injury information publicly available will "nudge" employers to focus on safety...is the basis of the rule.

The new rule, which took effect Jan. 1, 2017, requires certain employers to electronically submit injury and illness data that they are already required to record on their onsite OSHA Injury and Illness forms. TXAPA will host several webinars in the upcoming months. The first several webinars: Texas Asphalt Pavement Mix Types, Successful Pre-Paving Meetings, Best Practices for Compaction / Rolling Patterns are available on the TXAPA website. There is one webinar available from NAPA in October. This one is a continuance of the Back to Basics series. It is scheduled for Wednesday, October 25th.
The 43rd TXAPA Annual Meeting was held last week at the La Torretta Lake Resort in Montgomery, Texas, September 19-22. The meeting was extremely successful and members were able to enjoy great networking, technical sessions and more. There were over 500 members in attendance for the meeting.
