A Request for Support Amidst Tragedy

A Message from Stacy Hilbrich

As some of you know, my fiancé, Kip, his family, and I suffered a catastrophic loss the week of Christmas, when we lost both of his parents (Rex and Annie Rowh) to Covid-19, just 12 hours apart. Not only was this personally devastating, but their small farming and ranching community in Sothwest Kansas was also devastated. Kip’s dad was so involved in the community, was a real working cowboy his whole life, and influenced generations of men. His mom was also so heavily involved in so many things, but dearest to her heart was her participation in the Gray County Fair Board, where for decades she raised money with some of County’s favorite recipes (which she guarded). People would come back to Cimarron year after year just to have some of Ann’s famous beans.

There is an effort to build an Annie Rowh Memorial Concession Stand and to establish a Rex & Ann Rowh Memorial Scholarship fund. So many people have asked if there was anything that can be done, and I can’t think of a more meaningful way to show support to the family than to help see these things come to fruition.

If you’d like to help, donations can be made to the Rex & Ann Rowh Memorial at the following address:

Gray County Fair Board
c/o Ziegler Funeral Chapel
P.O. Box 446
Cimarron, KS  67835

Anything and everything will mean so much. Thanks and take care,
