Kao’s Chemical Business offers an array of products including oleo chemicals and
derivatives, high-performance polymers, fragrances and specialty surfactants for several
industries including the asphalt industry. Kao products are designed and developed to
provide the most feasible way to produce high performing asphalt mixtures overcoming
all sustainability requirements.

Kao Chemicals has a long-standing history of collaboration with the road construction
and maintenance industry in Europe, Asia and Latin America and for more than 50 years
has been a leading provider of specialty surfactants to the road industry in Europe.
Throughout all those years, Kao has produced and sold different fatty amines and
derivatives for many different road bitumen treatments, either for new road construction
or maintenance. In our Asphalt Portfolio, you can find bitumen emulsifiers (rapid,
medium, slow and super slow setting), anti-stripping agents, waxes and recycling
agents. In addition, our R&D team is continuously working on developing new products
and technical solutions. We are confident that with our years' of experience in various
