TxDOT Projects Awards Nomination Deadline May 14, 2018
The Quality Asphalt Pavement Awards Program is a joint effort between the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Texas Asphalt Pavement Association (TXAPA).
The intent of the program is to support and acknowledge TxDOT, contractors, and most importantly the individuals who constructed the quality built HMA project.
TxDOT Districts and TXAPA Members that win an award are recognized during the TXAPA Annual Meeting. Awards and recognition for field personnel will be presented at a meeting that will be held in the TxDOT District.
We urge you to review your HMA pavements that have been completed during the past calendar year for nomination consideration.
All Districts are encouraged to nominate at least one project. It is strongly recommended that a District designee, who is equipped with the ratings guide (included), perform a drive-through of each project being considered for nomination. This extra step should prove invaluable to the District in their determination of worthy projects.

Non-TxDOT Projects Awards Nomination Deadline May 28, 2018
The Quality Asphalt Pavement Awards Program (non-TxDOT) recognizes TXAPA members for quality built Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavements in the following categories:
- Large Airport: Project On Any Airport Over 15,000 Tons
- Small Airport: Project On Any Airport Under 15,000 Tons
- City Streets
- County Roads
- Parking Lots: Any Project No Tonnage Limit
The Quality Asphalt Pavement Awards Program was established to honor individuals and firms excelling in production, placement, and quality assurance on HMA projects.
The intent of the program is to support and acknowledge our TXAPA contractors, and most importantly the individuals who constructed the quality built HMA project.
We urge all TXAPA members to review your HMA pavement projects completed during the previous calendar year for consideration. We encourage you to nominate at least one project.
The Quality Asphalt Pavement Awards are open to all Texas Asphalt Pavement Association members. A member may nominate more than one HMA project for award consideration. TXAPA members are also eligible to win more than one award.
A non-member may nominate a project provided the contractor or supplier is a TXAPA member.
