Special Spouses Program at the Annual Meeting — September 20, 2017

The spouses’ event this year is a special treat. Ladies will depart from the La Torretta lobby on a chartered minibus at 10:30 a.m. and head toward St. Francis Wolf Sanctuary. This rescue sanctuary is located in Montgomery, Texas and its mission is to rescue and provide a loving, exceptional home to non-releasable wolves and wolf dogs. It is also part of the mission to educate the public about these animals.

 

On the guided sanctuary tour, which will last for about an hour, you will learn all about wolves and wolf dogs, observe them in their refuge and learn their stories.

 

The ladies will continue on their journey to Bernhardt Winery located in Plantersville, Texas. This is a small mom-and-pop boutique winery. A Tuscan style tasting room sits on top of a beautiful hill overlooking endless hills and valleys. You will enjoy a private tasting of the classical varietals and unique blends. Lunch will be provided at the winery before returning to the hotel.

The bus will return at the hotel at approximately 3:00 p.m.
