TXAPA Activities
Larry Welch and Murray Ricks attended the Texas County Judges and Commissioners Trade Show Meeting October 10-12 at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston, Texas At the TxDOT Short Course Chuck Fuller was a presenter at the technical sessions. TXAPA held a City of San Antonio Partners in Quality meeting that was very successful. There were over 90 people in attendance. Please note that TXAPA will hold city PIQ meetings for anyone or city requesting so. There have been several meetings on the EHS Committee preparing for the upcoming Environmental and Safety Seminar on January 19, 2017. The Quality Paving and New Technology Committee has also met pretty frequently. They have also been preparing for the New Technology Seminar that will also take place on January, 19, 2017. Please be sure to mark your calendar now for both these seminars. They will be held at the Hyatt Regency Town Lake, in Austin. Both seminars will be from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with lunch served. Be sure to let TXAPA know who your Environmental and/or Safety personnel are for invitations. Marketing and Membership Services Committee has been meeting very regularly. They are in the final planning sessions of the TXAPA User Guide. This committee has worked diligently with TTI to get this guide ready for publication early next year. TXAPA is also participating in the TACERA (Texas Association County Engineers and Roadway Administrators) meeting in San Antonio, October 31 - November 2 at the Wyndham Hotel on the Riverwalk. The Major Associate Members will be meeting at the association office on November 9 along with Jerry Peterson from TxDOT.
