Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The Texas Department of Transportation has shipped all Soils & Flexible Bases Proficiency Samples (SB 101, 103 & 201). If you have not received your sample by September 15, contact the Hot Mix Asphalt Center at 512.312.2099. All specialists will have approximately one and a half months to perform and submit results on the HMAC website.

Certified specialists are required with no exceptions to complete annual proficiency testing and reporting for certification(s) requiring participation in applicable annual proficiency testing programs. All specialists are required to individually perform their testing only, report their test results only, and complete a notice to respond form(s) when applicable according with all the required deadlines and requirements of each proficiency program. Annual proficiency samples will be shipped to the freight address provided by the specialist online at the Certified Specialist’s Contact Information page via the website address (www.txhmac.org). If the freight address and information is not current, the specialist will not receive a proficiency sample.

Non-participation or failure to submit proficiency test results and/or failure to respond to low rating(s) by the required deadlines will result in a change of status of the certification(s) to inactive. Individuals with inactive certification are prohibited from performing the duties associated with that certification.
