TxDOT Test Procedures Updates

The following test procedure updates have been approved by TxDOT and are effective September 2014.  Modifications to TEX-226F, "Indirect Tensile Strength Test"
 
Additional guidance on specimen preparation 
Reporting the average indirect tensile strength to the nearest whole number

Modifications to TEX-242-F, "Hamburg Wheel Tracking Test"

Molding PFC samples to 50 gyrations
Conditioning molded specimens at room temperature for minimum 24 hours before testing
Additional guidance on preparing roadway cores

Modifications to TEX-245-F, "Cantabro Loss"

Additional guidance on specimen preparation
Conditioning specimens in a constant temperature apparatus at 77 degrees before testing
Reporting the average loss to the nearest tenth
