Thermal Profiles

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Longer Lasting Asphalt Pavements! That is what we as an Industry and TxDOT are trying to achieve therefore we must raise the bar on our mixes and materials to obtain these types of results. TXAPA will be an educational freeway of information, please don’t hesitate to call or ask questions.

This month’s topic will focus on changes you will see in the specifications concerning Thermal Profiles. It will now be required to run thermal profiles with a hand held camera or with the Pave IR System. We will have guest speakers at our annual meeting in September and thanks to the Quality Paving Committee we will be offering some workshops this fall on both methods. Please make sure you keep an eye out for these opportunities and if you have any question please give TXAPA a call.
