TXAPA Announces Jimmy Whited, Jr., as Director of Technical Services

Texas Asphalt Pavement Association (TXAPA) President Jeff Greene has announced that Jimmy Whited, Jr. has been selected as the Director of Technical Services for TXAPA. Mr. Whited joins TXAPA with more than 19 years’ experience in the asphalt pavement industry and holds numerous certifications in state and national programs in asphalt, soils and concrete.
 
President Greene stated, "We are excited to have Jimmy join our TXAPA staff to provide technical services to our membership and our external partners in quality. His vast experience with today’s new asphalt pavement technology will enable TXAPA to expand our communications and education programs related to test procedures, specifications, mix designs, and production and placement operations. In today’s competitive markets we believe that Jimmy’s expertise will help TXAPA provide the technical services that our industry can utilize to take quality asphalt pavement to the next level."

Since 1995 Mr. Whited has worked in the industry for Kleinfelder, Inc. and Ramming Paving Company. Most recently he served Ramming Paving Company as Quality Control Manager and was part of the Ramming team that has won numerous state and national quality pavement awards, including the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s Ray Brown Award and Larry Lemon Award for the highest rated airport pavement project and parking lot pavement project in the country.
