TXAPA/TxDOT PARTNERS IN QUALITY MEETINGS

The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association recently held two Partners in Quality (PIQ) meetings with TxDOT partners and members in the Beaumont and Houston districts. Both meetings were well attended and filled with open discussion on important topics including: Thin Overlay Mixtures (TOM), overlay test requirements, recycled products, the Pave IR Bar and other specification items. 

The TXAPA Partners in Quality program continues to be a priority program that is designed to bring industry stakeholders together to discuss opportunities to enhance quality asphalt pavements, share ideas on specification implementation and communicate ideas to advance joint operations from the lab to the roadway. Scheduling is in progress for nine additional PIQ programs throughout the state that will be held prior to the end of the year.
