NAPA Awards Program

NAPA COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AWARD
Every year, NAPA members do amazing work - not just on their paving sites, but also in the community. NAPA has an award that celebrates companies who demonstrate they are a good neighbor and an active member of their community. The Community Involvement Award is given to companies who have employee-driven outreach programs that give back to the local community. In the past, companies have educated students, participated in blood drives, held fundraisers for local schools or charities, hosted plant tours for the community, donated services, undertaken community clean-up projects, and many other civic efforts. Does your company have a comprehensive community relations program? Submit for NAPA's Community Involvement Award. The award is open to NAPA's Producer and, new for 2012, Associate members.
NAPA highlights all award winners and finalists in Asphalt Pavement magazine, on our Web site at www.AsphaltPavement.org, and at special ceremonies during our meetings. Additionally, NAPA provides press releases to help companies promote their community outreach program. Community Involvement Award winners and finalists will be honored at NAPA's 2013 Midyear Meeting in Boston, Mass.
The process for nominating your company's community involvement program is online at www.AsphaltPavement.org/Awards. Log into NAPA's Web site using your NAPA member login and start the process today. There is a $125 nomination fee and deadline for submission is Dec. 3. Contact Ester Magorka, Director of Awards & NAPA PAC Programs, with any questions. NAPA SAFETY INNOVATIONS AWARD
Do your employees create effective solutions to safety concerns? Has your company designed a new or innovative safety practice? Has a new invention been created that could benefit the industry? Submit your safety innovations for NAPA's Asphalt Operations Safety Innovations Award. This award recognizes safety practices that go above and beyond normal safety practices. Awards are presented to companies whose objective is to utilize innovative ideas or practical methods that lead to improved worker safety in a roadway, plant site, or quarry environment. The Award is open to NAPA's Producer and Paving Contractor members.
