TXAPA Scholarships Nominations
The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association has sent out requests for recommendations for potential recipients of its Civil Engineering Scholarships.
This program is funded solely by the TXAPA "Ron Flanagan Scholarship and Education Live and Silent Auction" which takes place each year at the association Annual Meeting.
As a reminder: the scholarship requirements are below,
We are most interested in a solid student, sophomore level or above, who has demonstrated an interest in this field through their choice of summer or part-time employment. This student should also be attending an accredited university in the state of Texas. The grade point average is not significant as long as the student is solid and consistent. We want those students who may very likely pursue the road building industry as a career in Texas after completion of their education.
If you have such a student employed by your organization, or know of such a student, we would appreciate your recommendation. Click here to fill out a Recommendation form.
Scholarship Nomination Forms have been sent out by email and regular mail to all TXAPA Association Representatives, TxDOT District and Area Offices, and Texas Universities. The form will also be available on our website as well. Our original deadline for these recommendations was October 26th, however due to some technical difficulties, we have extended our deadline to November 9th.
