Certification and re-certification classes are filling up fast. It is imperative to register as early as possible. You can find a current schedule on the Hot Mix Asphalt Center’s Web page located at www.txhmac.org.

Certified technicians must re-certify six months prior to their certification expiring. There is no grace period once the certification lapses. It is the responsibility of each certified technician to monitor your expiration date and schedule your re-certification. If you fail to re-certify within the six-month period, your certification will be revoked. Technicians with revoked certifications will be required to take the week-long training class in order to regain their certification.

If you are unable to get into a certain class, you will be placed a waiting list. Once we have enough people on that list, we will open another class at the earliest date available. There is no guarantee that this new class will be opened before your certification expires. This is why you must register as soon as possible.
