TOPIC 1
You have been reading and hearing a lot lately about the use of recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) and recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) in asphalt paving products. RAP and RAS provide environmental, economic and engineering benefits when used in asphalt. All of this recent attention on RAP and RAS may have made some of us forget about the use of rubber in asphalt. For this reason TXAPA would like to invite you to come hear presentations on the environmental, economic and engineering benefits of rubber in asphalt by TXAPA member companies Cox Paving Company, Liberty Tire, Modified Asphalt Solutions, Rubber Asphalt Solutions and Wright Asphalt.

TOPIC 2
Calumet Specialty Products, L.P. now has a Trackless Tack coat, NTQS-1HH, an emulsion made from hard pen asphalt. The product is made for a fast cure, leaving a non-tracking tack coat minutes after application while creating a superior bond between existing pavement and new layer pavement. Trackless Tack can also help reduce the amount of time spent on cleanup of paving equipment and vehicles. TXAPA would like to invite you to hear a representative from Calumet present the benefits, proper methods of application and appropriate practices for storage and handling of the material.

Immediately following the presentations, everyone is invited to stay for a delicious BBQ dinner which you can enjoy while networking with others in our industry.
