As many of you may recall, Derek Angel, the 2011 Marketing Committee Chairman, and the 2012 TXAPA President introduced the new TXAPA Logo:

Granted I know that the Web page in particular is very hard to see in the above picture, but you will be able to use it and all of the tools contained in it on Jan. 3, 2012. Note that the background picture will change quarterly to match that quarter’s Texas Asphalt magazine since the basis for the new Web page is more closely aligned with TXAPA’s highly successful magazine. Sections contained in the new Web page will include ABOUT TXAPA, MEMBERSHIP, ASPHALT 101, EDUCATION and AWARDS to name a few. 

Under ABOUT TXAPA you will be able to see areas on the TXAPA board of directors, a vastly improved history section by Gary Corley, TXAPA’s mission statement, TXAPA staff and membership, which will contain descriptions of our three membership levels.

Under MEMBERSHIP there will be a "Sharpen your Competitive Edge" section and a "Join Now" section which will have the dues structure and links to membership applications.

ASPHALT 101 will contain sections on Asphalt Pavement FAQs, Asphalt Pavement Benefits, Economics, Engineering, Environment and resources.

EDUCATION will contain sections on TXAPA sponsored and/or supported seminars, the Educational Tool Kit, Lunch & Learn, Webinars, Annual Meeting Presentations and Mid-Year Meeting presentations.  Note that in order to see the material from the Annual and Mid-Year meetings you will need to be signed in as a TXAPA member.

AWARDS section will include the TxDOT/TXAPA Award Program with subsections describing the program, the award categories and previous winners. In the future we hope to expand this area to include info on TXAPA City, County and Developer Awards.

At the very top of the Web page will links to Member Log-In, Membership Listing, the Texas Hot Mix Asphalt Center and TxDOT.

All of the above should be available to you on opening day: Jan. 3, 2012.  Once it is up and running we will continue to add sections as needed, and most importantly work to keep the new website up-to-date, current and fresh.
