The TAPPA 2025 Conference at Moody Gardens in Galveston, April 14-17th is now open for Business Partner sponsorship and booths. We expect another record year of attendance with 400 participants and 40+ universities and colleges represented. There are a plenty of opportunities to highlight your firm, ranging from “speed dating” to Business Partner “Showcase Sessions” to golf and other sponsorships, including booths. It’s almost time for TAPPA’s university and college members to sign up as attendees. Watch your email or the TAPPA website in January for the opening of conference and hotel reservations: 2025 Annual Conference Homepage | Texas Association of Physical Plant Administrators. This year, we will have numerous educational sessions, keynote and panel presentations, and multiple opportunities to collaborate with your peers. We are also bringing back our Golf Tournament, by popular demand!

Please note that this year, the conference will start on Tuesday, April 15th. The day will begin with golf in the morning, followed by educational sessions later in the day. Plan to arrive on April 14th and join us for golf on Tuesday!

We are excited to announce that at this year’s TAPPA conference in Galveston, April 14th-17th, we will be electing several board positions! This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a difference in our organization.

Nominations are being accepted for the following positions:

  • Vice President (2-year term, 6-year commitment)
  • Secretary/Treasurer (3-year term)
  • Director (2 positions available) (3-year term)

The Director positions referenced above will serve on the Membership Committee.

If you have experience in overseeing facilities’ operations, staffing, budgeting, policies, project management, utilities, and assets, we urge you to nominate yourself for one of the open positions.

How to Apply:

Requirements and Time Commitment:

To serve on the TAPPA Board in one of these positions, you need to be an Institutional Member of TAPPA. The TAPPA Board meetings are held virtually every month, and in-person Strategic Planning is held annually.

The TAPPA nominating committee will review qualifications, including nominee eligibility and willingness to serve. The deadline to submit a nomination is Thursday, February 20, 2025. The nominees will be contacted thereafter, and the ballot will be sent out to the membership for voting.

The vote will be held at the Business Meeting on April 17, 2025, during the Annual Conference. The new board members will be announced at the conclusion of the Business Meeting.

If you’re not ready to serve on the Board but still want to contribute, we have five standing committees that could use your creativity and expertise:

  • Conference Committee

  • Marketing Committee
  • Membership Committee
  • Special Awards Committee
