TAPPA News and Updates

Dear TAPPA Members,

I hope you had the chance to attend the CAPPA Annual Conference in Norman at the University of Oklahoma. It was an outstanding event, thanks to the leadership of Luis Morales (CAPPA President), David Hall (President Elect), Matt Rom (Associate Vice President for Facilities at the University of Oklahoma), and their teams. We appreciate their dedication in hosting such a valuable conference. The TAPPA Board is excited to announce that planning is underway for the TAPPA Annual Conference, themed “Big Challenges, Bigger Solutions,” scheduled for April 13–16, 2026, at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel. This event will feature educational sessions, a golf tournament, and a local campus tour, and is shaping up to be a fantastic experience! For the first evening, we’re embracing an 80’s Rock Band theme so bring your favorite 80’s t-shirts, Levi jeans, and tennis shoes! 🎸 (Just one request: please, no animal print spandex)

As we get closer to the conference, we’ll be revealing more details about the conference and our guest speaker, stay tuned for more information!

Special Announcement:

Beyond the Annual Conference, we have several events in the works:

  • A fall webinar
  • A TAHFM/TAPPA and TEMA/TAPPA joint one-day Regional Round Up in the spring
  • A Toolkit at Dallas College this month
  • Another Toolkit next spring at Texas Tech University in Lubbock

We’re committed to providing meaningful educational and professional development opportunities for all TAPPA members. If you’re hosting an event on your campus and would like TAPPA to help promote it or share information with other members, please reach out.
