Hello TAPPA,
Picking up where our Shorty left off, in more ways than one, I would like to welcome our newest Board member Christina Williams from Denton’s Texas Women’s University. It has been my pleasure to work with her in the past, and I know that she will do great things for TAPPA as a member of the Board. I also want to extend my appreciation to Terry Pritchett as he steps into the Treasurers position. If anyone is up to the challenge, I know that Terry is that person. In fact, I expect that he will be able to make it look easy. Additionally, I want to welcome our newest Junior Business Partner, Allison Anderson-Fobert with Aquis. As all our Business Partners that have dedicated their time to participating on the TAPPA Board know, you have a very important job.
Having been able to get to know all the Board members that will be serving the TAPPA membership this year, I am confident that TAPPA is in good hands and will continue the great work accomplished by previous TAPPA Boards.
I also want to extend a big TAPPA thank you to our exiting Board Members: Dave Reynolds, Mike Wheeler, and Alan Stilts. Just remember we still have your numbers and will be calling when we need your continued advice, guidance, and participation on a committee or two. You all have done more than just talk the talk. You have shown what great leadership looks like and set a high benchmark for those that follow in your footsteps.
Finally, I want to remind the TAPPA body of the great things that are coming our way. The new list serve that was announced is almost ready to make active. Please remember to sign up if you want to participate. We also have the Regional Round Up’s coming so you will want to keep an eye out for them. And lastly, next year’s TAPPA 2024 conference will be in San Marcus, so go ahead and place a hold on your calendar for April 7 through 9. I can tell you that we have already started discussing plans for the conference and you won’t want to miss this one.
Sincerely,
Chad Crocker, President, TAPPA
