I hope your summer was productive and you had an opportunity to take some time away. Summer has a way of moving along and, before we know it, the fall semester has begun. During these exciting times in academia, TAPPA continues to be a partner and resource for you and your teams in professional connectivity and career development. We are committed to providing educational opportunities that not only provide a pathway to engage and learn from other institutes across the state, but also provide support for you and your team’s professional and technical development.

I want to encourage you to stay tuned to our newsletter and website as we make plans to host several Regional Roundups, a webinar and the annual conference. Make sure to mark your calendar as the annual conference will be held in Dallas at the Renaissance Dallas from April 14-16. The theme this year is "Big Challenges, BIGGER Solutions: Securing the Future of Texas Higher Ed," and the TAPPA board is hard at work ironing out the details to ensure this is a beneficial conference with many networking and educational offerings. You can find more details on the TAPPA website in the days to come.

Please think about the great achievements you have accomplished on your campus or within your institution. We plan to send the call for educational sessions in September/October and call for sponsorship opportunities for our business partners in October/November. And, of course, start practicing your golf game as this year the first day will include a little friendly rivalry to get the conference started.

In addition to our regular programming, we are collaborating with CAPPA and several other organizations to ensure there are educational and engagement activities throughout the year to provide ongoing and regular development opportunities. In the meantime, don't forget to use the listserv for any questions or updates you may have; this has been a valuable resource, and we look forward to the continued sharing of knowledge between our great TAPPA members.

Take care, and we look forward to connecting either online or at our next event.
