Even though it is almost 80 degrees outside as I write this, it wasn’t that long ago that Texas experienced the harshest winter storm in recent history. Once again, though, local government technology professionals across the state stood up and ensured our systems remained available and our users and citizens had the services they needed. That speaks volumes to the dedication and initiative that comes from our TAGITM membership.

Our association is comprised of so many dedicated members across the state that regularly put others before themselves and are willing to serve at a moment’s notice. Through a global pandemic, a crippling ice storm and multiple major software security breaches, (and that’s just within one year) the countless benefits of TAGITM stand out. As we move back toward a normal life (whatever that means), I’d like to encourage you all to keep in contact with your neighbors via the TAGITM Regional Groups. If you don’t know about your group, all the information is on our website. Those local connections are a big part of what keeps the cohesion of our association strong.

As we move into spring, there are a couple of things on the horizon:

I hope everyone is doing great, and I’ll see you at the conference!
