Outgoing President's Message

I would like to take a few moments to offer my thanks and appreciation for being allowed to serve as the TAGITM President for 2018-2019. It was truly an honor to represent the organization. I am hopeful we continue to see growth at the conference in our education offerings and our membership base by opening our borders just a bit. Ha, I believe there was a similar theme of a conference in the past - Expanding our Borders.

There are numerous folks who made my job a lot easier that deserve a special “thanks.” Many thanks to Beth Ann and Mike, who gave me history time and time again to be able to act on things appropriately. Thanks to all the committee chairs - Travis, Tony, Chris, Jason, Mike, Kevin and Scott for keeping your specific areas on track. A special shout out to the education committee who is responsible for the content of the conference and puts in a significant amount of time to make sure the conference is all it can be each and every year. All committees do a wonderful job, and I have been a part of most of them over the years. Thank you all so much for everything you did last year.

CMP deserves a special thanks for the fantastic job they do all year long: Lydia, who keeps us on track the entire year; Lindy, who cranks out the conference; Carolyn, for working through the contract with me and entertaining my rambling thoughts; Mark, who is no longer there, but lent a steady hand to the ship as we navigated the year; and, of course, now Grace, who is coming in for Lydia as she takes on the Association Executive role in Mark’s absence.

Finally, to the entire membership for awarding me the opportunity to be your president for a year and for stretching me in being the master of ceremonies for the conference. That was truly out of my comfort zone.

TAGITM is a great organization, and I look forward to being a smaller part of it for the next few years as I work my way through past presidency and slowly return to be a conference attendee again and getting to enjoy more of the festivities.

Have a great year everyone, and Scott, you’ve got the Con, buddy. All yours now!
