First and foremost, I hope you are all healthy and have found ways to cope with the added stress. I feel like the April edition of our newsletter should begin with a picture of a fire hose, because that’s what we are all drinking from these days. Now, more than ever, the benefits of TAGITM membership come to light as we rely on each other for advice in navigating what has become our new normal (at least for now). The vast majority of us are doing some kind of video conference solution for our Council meetings. Reading the successes and pitfalls of others on the listserv has definitely helped to guide what I have implemented in my own agency.

By now, you’ve probably read or heard that this year’s annual conference will be moved to a virtual event. Let me say this up front: There’s no way to replicate the fun and success of our in-person conference with a webinar. However, your Board and CMP are going to get as close as we possibly can. We will have educational breakout sessions, solution showcases, one-on-one meetings with vendors, and townhall-style discussions – all in a virtual environment. The details have not all been finalized, but stay tuned, because a lot of information will be coming your way shortly.

The technology operations in our own agencies need to be agile, as we learn to adapt to changes that come our way. We have to implement processes that we’ve never had before – and quickly. TAGITM is no different. I hope you continue to value and support our association as we go through these challenging times.

Have a great month!
