The 41st annual TAGITM conference is in the rear view mirror. I hope everyone that was able to attend had a great time and was able to walk away with some new ideas, plenty of networking time and maybe even some new contact info from fellow members and sponsors.

As we go forward with this year, I’d like to encourage everyone to be as involved as your schedule allows with our association. We have regional member groups that meet for lunch throughout the year all over the state, as well as two regional summits later this year. We would like to thank the 2018-2019 committee chairs:

  • Jennifer Frescaz- Communications Committee
  • Tony Gonzalez- Conference Committee
  • Chris Lee- Education Committee
  • Jason Power- Marketing Committee
  • Kevin Cameron- Membership Committee
  • Sunny Patel- Industry Advisory Committee

If you’re ready to take it up a notch, take a look at our committees and see if one might be a good fit for you.

In June, the board will meet for a strategic planning session in Waco. We will be mapping out initiatives for the next year and discussing things that would bring even more value to our association. Speaking of new ideas, all of us on the board welcome your ideas and suggestions! If there is anything that pops in your mind that’s a good idea for TAGITM, please send it to us at info@tagitm.org

On a personal note, I am extremely honored and humbled to be your president for this year. All of the positions on the board are those of service. I believe I can speak for them all when I say that we commit to you to do our very best this year to make TAGITM better than when we started.

I couldn’t end my first article of the year without giving a thumbs up to Sid Hudson, our 2018-2019 president. He did an outstanding job over the year and allowed me to step in to a very well-managed position.

As always, thank you for your continued support!

Scott Joyce

TAGITM President
