In June, DallasHR  hosted a 75th anniversary celebration, recognizing the milestone year with special appearances by past presidents and a look back at the organization and the HR profession through the decades.

In addition, the DallsHR Workforce Readiness Committee continues its work with The Senior Source to provide interviewing skills and resume support to their clients looking for employment, helping an impressive 50 – 70 seniors each month. And DallasHR is excited to be a part of this impactful initiative.

Just how is this work changing lives? Claire Turner, director of the senior employment program for The Senior Source, shares her feedback in a note to the volunteer group:

"Good morning, All:

I want to express our highest praise for the fabulous work you did here at The Senior Source yesterday.  Wow – what an incredible turnout of 9 of you, and we’re so appreciative and honored that you all would give so much of your time to our older job seekers!

To many of you, I may sound like a broken record, but as in the past, ALL of our clients/attendees enthusiastically shared what a tremendous experience yesterday morning was for them. We received several evaluations that stated your interaction, guidance and feedback were invaluable!  Many also said you helped them without being judgmental. Lastly, yesterday, as always when DallasHR is here, our clients left here with a new spring in their step, smiles on their faces and renewed confidence from the tips they learned from your individual sessions. Even the most quiet of these were smiling.

So there you have it, you all are THE BEST! We are eternally grateful for your generosity of time yesterday and in the future, as well. Our wonderful seniors appreciate and need you, and we on staff at The Senior Source do cartwheels when we have DallasHR on our agenda for the day."
