SSPC Adds Training Provider in Ecuador; Other Licensees Add New Classes

SSPC, The Society for Protective Coatings recently announced the addition of new classes to authorized training providers, and welcomed a new face to our licensee roster, beefing up the global lineup of training organizations.

A BIG welcome to Amazonia, our newest licensee, bringing our ever-popular SSPC Protective Coatings Inspection (PCI) course to Ecuador! Naval and Industrial Coatings will continue to offer PCI and Train the Painter in Panama and Columbia, while showing their full support of our new partnership with Amazonia.

The following companies received approval and support from SSPC to add new classes to the SSPC Training Programs they currently provide in their respective regions of the world:

SSPC C1, C2, and PCS

As with all new licensees, to qualify for SSPC approval, each company had to undergo a rigorous review to ensure they met the accreditation requirements of IACET, the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. Jennifer Merck, SSPC's Director of Training and Technical Programs commented, “The review process is challenging and ensures that these companies are the best at what they do."

Here's what a couple of them had to say:

Juan Caballero of Naval Industrial Coatings and Board Member of SSPC said, “Being an SSPC Licensee has allowed us to comply with our company mission to provide specialized services that contribute to the coatings industry development by delivering high-level training and certification options for coatings professionals and craftworkers more accessible in their region and own language, thus supporting their individual professional careers and development opportunities and the marine, industrial and commercial infrastructure maintenance culture levels of the region.”

Dejin Feng of Rader Coating Technology said, “Becoming a licensee of SSPC is great to promote companies. SSPC training programs are very helpful to improve the coating quality and performance in industry projects.”

Arturo Escobedo of Twilight SA DE CV said, “Being partners of SSPC has changed the way we approach the market, we exponentially increased knowledge in prevention of corrosion with the use of protective coatings. Currently we have provided SSPC training to more than 100 PCI students who consider their SSPC certification as the starting point of a promising career.”

Gabriel Herrera of Amazonia Industries said, “We share our mission with SSPC by spreading the knowledge to the different industries. Working together with SSPC is a very rewarding experience for us.“
