NEW PROJECTS:

C.2.22, Guide to Assessment of Adhesion Interference Materials:  The committee is assembling a guidance document for assessment of cleaned steel surfaces for materials not easily visible with the unaided eye which could affect adhesion of subsequently applied coatings.

C.2.23, Non-Profiling Dry Methods of Surface Preparation: This committee is developing a Technology Update describing three methods of surface cleaning that may reveal existing surface profile, but that do not create a surface profile suitable for mechanical adhesion of subsequently applied coatings. The three methods include carbon dioxide blast cleaning, atmospheric plasma cleaning and laser ablation.

C.7.3, Surface Preparation of Concrete: This committee completed development of a set of standards for surface preparation of concrete by dry abrasive blast cleaning in 2019 and will start work on a set of standards for surface preparation of concrete by waterjetting in 2020.

C.8.2, Commercial Coating Materials: This committee will develop a performance standard for thin-film coating materials for concrete substrates in commercial applications.
