Asia Pacific Business Development Representative

Myers Liao recently joined the SSPC family as Asia Pacific (APAC) Business Development Representative effective, Friday, February 8, 2019. Myers is based in Selangor, Malaysia.
In this role, Myers will support our APAC constituents and collaborate with SSPC HQ staff on key initiatives tied to SSPC individual and organizational membership, training courses, certifications, asset owner specifications, business intelligence and development, marketing, communications and local chapter activities.
Myers brings 11 years of experience in business planning, strategy, new product development, marketing and communications arenas to this role. His most recent position was with Mach3 Engineering which operates in the corrosion engineering community where he served as Business Strategy Manager. Prior to this position Myers was a Regional Marketing Manager for NACE International; a Marcom Manager for Video Independent Pictures; and a Trade Marketing Executive for TJL Furniture Manufacturing.
Myers earned a bachelor’s degree in Art from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman as well as an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication from Management Development Institute of Singapore. He speaks fluently in Bahasa (Malaysia), English, Mandarin (Chinese), Cantonese (Chinese), and Japanese. He writes fluently in Bahasa, English, Chinese and Japanese.
