2019 DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference
a) The 2019 DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference is Once Again Being Administered by SSPC Under Contract with the U.S. Department of Defense this Coming August 12-15, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK.
The purpose of the biennial DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference is to facilitate information exchange between the U.S. Government participating organizations, private industry, academia, and the Allies with a focus on reducing the impacts of corrosion on costs, availability and safety of systems and facilities used by the Armed Forces. Since corrosion of military equipment and infrastructure costs the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) approximately $20 billion every year, the DoD Corrosion Community continually and actively seeks new corrosion prevention and mitigation solutions for material, equipment, and facilities.

Research in the area of a fundamental understanding of corrosion phenomena applicable to systems of DoD interest.
2. Robert J. Ferrara Category for Corrosion Engineering
Research in the area of practical application of corrosion science to corrosion prevention, detection or control of systems of DoD interest.
3. Richard (Dick) Kinzie Category for Applied Corrosion Technology
Research into the development of tools, techniques, or systems that can be utilized for corrosion prevention, detection or control of systems of DoD interest.
