In May 2015, OSHA announced a new set of regulations for working in confined spaces on construction jobsites. These new regulations, which are based on the general industry regulations for confined spaces, will have an immediate impact for everyone working in areas such as attics and crawlspaces. After some delays, these new regulations are now being enforced. In March 2016, the Spray Foam Coalition released a document intended to provide general guidance on ventilation during installation of interior applications of high-pressure spray polyurethane foam (SPF) in new residences and buildings and during renovation and weatherization projects in existing homes and buildings.
