On November 6, SCAPA held a "how to" training seminar for attendees on the newly launched online training program SCAPA Academy. Approximately 20 professionals from the asphalt industry attended the seminar which was held at the Palmetto Club in Columbia, SC.

SCAPA Technical Director Jayson Jordan walked attendees through the online program and offered guidance on how to best incorporate the program into an asphalt company.

SCAPA launched SCAPA Academy in August 2017 to meet the need for new technological resources and tools in the rapidly growing asphalt pavement industry. SCAPA Academy, located at http://www.scasphalt.org/academy.html, will curate project-based learning curriculums and help expedite the path to competency for new hires, experienced professionals, and inspectors.
