Granite Contracting LLC opened its doors in January 1999 primarily as a stone base, curb & paving contractor working in the greater Charlotte area. Since that time, they have added key components to their core business such as additional asphalt plants, grading, utilities, specialty concrete, and most recently, concrete paving.
With 110 employees, Granite Contracting, LLC is a full-service site contractor that offers their customers a complete civil package, or they will also working their grading partners to provide them a finished paving package. Granite also maintains a robust FOB asphalt sales program that allows them to support their local paving placement partners.
In addition to growing their capabilities, Granite has grown its market footprint over the years as well. Through several strategic acquisitions, they are now able to serve York, Chester, Union and Lancaster Counties from their McConnells Plant and Marion, Dillon and Florence Counties from their Latta Plant. They are also erecting another asphalt plant in Concord, NC to enhance their ability to better serve the northeastern quadrant of the Charlotte metro area.
Granite Contracting, LLC has built their company on two different, yet complementary ideals. The first commitment is to provide a safe, environmentally responsible, worksite for their employees, customers, and community. Their other commitment is to provide their customers with the highest level of construction expertise, superior quality, and unsurpassed service. They have assembled a strong team of project managers, each with a Civil Engineering background and years of field experience. One person prepares the cost estimate, coordinates construction, and handles contract administration for each project. This allows Granite Contracting, LLC to provide each client the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. On every job, they place a team of highly trained, safety conscious, and experienced construction veterans.
