The second regular session of the 121st South Carolina General Assembly convened on January 12, 2016. Industry leaders will be working with the legislature to pass a comprehensive road funding bill this session. In its first week of session, the Senate created a working committee, made up of four Democrats and four Republicans who are charged with creating a working proposal to provide more road funding. The group met for the first time last week and is expected to continue its efforts into next week.
