SCDOT announces the cancellation of all SCDOT Technician Certification classes through April 17, 2020, in response to COVID-19.

In an email from Temple Short, Materials and Research Operations Engineer in the SCDOT Office of Materials and Research, he announced the following:

All SCDOT Technician Certification classes through April 17, 2020 have been cancelled due to the Agency’s operational response to the COVID-19 event. Anyone already scheduled for an upcoming class during this time will receive a notification from the administrators as well.  Our best accommodations will be made for future classes. We will consider reasonable certification extension requests for those folks that have certifications expiring – all requests should be sent by email to shorttk@scdot.org and include name, certification, and current expiration date.

Classes scheduled after April 17 will be looked at in a couple of weeks to reevaluate our position at that time.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Additional information will be posted on our announcements website.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility!
