Date: Friday, January 10, 2:00–3:30 p.m. EST
Speakers: Gerry Huber, Associate Director of Research, Heritage Research Group; Bill Pine, Quality Control Director of Asphalt Technology, Heritage Construction and Materials; Dr. Nam Tran, Assistant Director, Associate Research Professor - National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University

This session will discuss adjustments that provide improved performance while considering impacts on cost and use of recycled materials. Over the past decade, most state highway agencies have made adjustments to the Superpave mix design procedure with the goal of improved pavement performance. Based on a survey of state asphalt pavement associations, research, and historical data, a NAPA PEC-sponsored study conducted by NCAT has identified adjustments that can potentially provide the greatest improvement in pavement performance. This session will discuss these adjustments and their impacts on cost and use of recycled materials.
