Ashley R. Batson, Esq. graduates from Leadership South Carolina

COLUMBIA – Ashley R. Batson, Esq. of the South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association recently graduated from Leadership South Carolina, the state’s oldest and most respected leadership development program. Graduates successfully completed 120+ hours of instruction in issues facing South Carolina.

To date, more than 2,000 leaders have graduated from Leadership SC, the only statewide program that explores a vast array of challenges facing our state with solutions for improvement.

As such, the orientation session for the nine-month program began in Columbia at the McCrady Army National Guard Training Center and subsequent sessions took place in various locations across the state as it pertained to their specific topic. As the class members find inspiration in these individualized sessions, each program then culminates with a unique class project.

The 2018 Class chose to assist the Town of Johnston, SC (Edgefield County) with the development of a Town Park – by making a walking trail, renovating and upgrading a community park and raising more than $65,000 in donations. During the past 15 years, Class projects have raised nearly a half-million dollars ($500,000) for the benefit of the Palmetto State, under the direction of Helen Munnerlyn, Executive Director.

As the only statewide leadership program that focuses on solutions for the entire state, Leadership SC has one primary goal --- to positively impact South Carolina through education and awareness of the state’s most urgent challenges. For more information www.LeadershipSC.com.
